CORVETTE AND PARTS: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with hardtop, VIN #194675S103638 (1-Chevrolet, 9-Corvette, 4-V8, ‘67 convertible, 5-1965, S-St. Louis assembly plant 103638), production number cowl tag info: build date E03 65, May 3, 1965 467, convertible body, S1214, St. Louis body trim, STD black vinyl paint, 900UU, Rally Red, engine block code 5103638 5 1965 103638, VIN #F120THF F-Flint, Michigan plant 1201 - December 1st (Note: “i” was stamped where it should be the number "1") HF - 327/300 HP L 75 4-barrel carburetor. Engine block and many engine parts are original to the Corvette including the water pump, thermostat housing, and intake manifold. Correct part number and dates. Corvette is partially restored. Engine, transmission, frame, and suspension have been restored and painted. Not professionally restored but more of an amateur restoration. Body has been stripped of all paint down to the gel coat. Needs complete body work and fully painted and fully reassembled. Does come with the hardtop which was also an option for 1965. All body panels, glass and interior parts appear to be present - 1976 Chevrolet 350 built engine on stand. Engine block code was milled off and "Ken Gowdy" stamped on the engine pad. Engine appears to be completely rebuilt. Engine casting number 3970010, Engine casting date: F236 June 23, 1976 - Corvette rear end with half shafts and front yoke. Hoosier rears 30.0/9.0 R15 and Goodyear fronts 28.0X4.5-15.
