Cattle – 170 Head Total – All Registered: Approx. 110 adult cows all stages of lactation and dry. 60 heifers all ages from calves up to Springers. All registered and AI sired and bred/serviced to Semex, Coba, ABS and ST bulls. Good udders/feet & legs and bred for type. No cross breeding, free stall trained, TMR ration, 4.3 BF, 3.6 Pro, 150K SSC.
Herd health: All calves receive two doses of Naselgen (Inforce) at birth and two weeks later. Two doses of Salmonella vaccine two weeks apart. MLV at age 6 months. They Get J-Vac at breeding age and annually. They receive Triangle 10 annually. Heifers have had Pink Eye vaccination. Herd is checked by Greener Pastures Veterinary Service monthly, Dr. Bryan NoGay.
Seller Note: Schalley’s Dairy Farm est. 1995. Registered Holsteins, Jersey, Swiss and Ayrshires. Highest production Jersey and Ayrshire in Crawford County by DHIA testing last year. Jersey 165 pounds on first test to sell. 85% Holsteins are Red and White, the remainder are Red Carriers. All cows are registered.
Jerseys: 75 head, 34 adult cows, Avg. 67 lbs/day, balance heifers of all ages. Sires represented are Venerable, Chronicle, Dancer and Whistler
Red Holsteins: 60 head, 40 adult cows, Avg. 80 lbs/day, balance heifers of all ages. Sires represented are Axford, Addiction, Redhot and Russ P
