KIKO Wins Four State Advertising Awards

KIKO Auctioneers of Canton, OH was honored to be the recipient of four 2012 Advertising Contest Awards at the Annual Ohio Auctioneers Association Convention in Columbus, OH.   Kiko won awards in the following four categories: Website, Catalogue Auction, Auction in Action, and Stationery.

 

KIKO’s advertising and marketing team produced all four awards in-house.  This team works hard to ensure that each and every auction receives personal attention.  “Advertising and marketing are key components in having a successful auction. Lori Kiko inducted into the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame

Lori Kiko recently became the first woman and the third generation of her family inducted into the Ohio Auctioneers Association (OAA) Hall of Fame. The honor is the latest in a long line of awards, honors and recognitions for the Stark County, Ohio native. Lori joins her father, grandfather and uncle in the OAA Hall of Fame. The induction came as a surprise to Lori and was held at the annual OAA Winter Convention in Dublin, Ohio on Sunday, January 13, 2013.

During the StarTrek Enterprise mission of exploring strange new worlds and seeking out new life and civilizations, a special shuttlecraft was used--the shuttlecraft, Galileo.  KIKO Auctioneers of Canton, Ohio is proud to be auctioning the original TV prop, Shuttlecraft Galileo from Star Trek, at absolute auction online starting June 18, 2012.

REALTORS® Present Lifetime Achievement Awards

The Stark County Association of REALTORS® (SCAR) honored Richard T. Kiko Sr. and Michael Schmidt with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their outstanding accomplishments in the real estate industry and community.

Both were honored during the Association’s annual Installation Banquet on January 14 at The Fresco Room at LaPizzeria.  

Richard T. Kiko Sr. joined the Canton Board of REALTORS® in 1962 and received his broker’s license in 1969. From 1980–1982, Kiko served on the Association’s Board of Trustees and assisted in the ground breaking and completion of the Association’s new Munson Street office.

Kid’s Fun Auction Raises Money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

The Ohio Auctioneers Association’s third annual Kid’s Fun Auction was held in Columbus, Ohio at the Marriott Hotel during the Ohio Auctioneer’s Association State Convention January 14-16.

Over 200 auctioneers and their families from throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Pennsylvania attended the convention.

On Sunday January 15th the children of the auctioneers were invited to try their chanting skills while selling donated toys to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Those antique and artworks collectors in the area who believe they have to go to New York City and Sotheby’s to find high-quality auctions may find a surprise if they attend one of the Kiko auctions held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Mississippi Street in North Canton. The building was recently purchased by The Bluecoats, a nonprofit youth music education organization.

Kiko Classic Car Fall Auction a Success

On Saturday, November 20, 2010 the auction crew from KIKO Classic Car Auctions hosted their Fall Classic Car Auction at the Buckeye Event Center in Dalton, OH.  Over 450 bidders, sellers, and curious classic car buffs watched in anxious anticipation as 35 classic vehicles were sold.

 

The auction began with memorabilia pieces and two classic pedal cars then the 35 classic vehicles were offered next at absolute auction.  Vehicles included something for everyone from a 1959 Volkswagen Dune Buggy to a two Chevrolet Tin Woodie to a 1974 Chevrolet Camaro and a 1947 Ford Pickup.

On Saturday, July 16, 2011 the chant of KIKO Classic Car Auctioneers filled the Canfield Fairgrounds at the Dave & Ed’s Summer Auto Event as KIKO auctioned off Classic Vehicles 26 years and older to several hundred bidders.

 

The KIKO Summer Classic Collector Vehicle Auction offered bidders a variety of vehicles everything from a 1924 Ford T-Bucket Truck, 1946 Chrysler Windsor, 1949 Ford F-1, 1971 Honda CB350 motorcycle, 1976 Cadillac Seville Custom Opera Coupe, and a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.  This year’s auction also offered a number of project vehicles that were in varying degrees of restoration this included everything from

KIKO Musical Instrument Auction Brings $4,620 for Guitar

On Wednesday, June 22 the Champion Event Center in North Canton, OH was filled with not only the musical auction chant of Kiko Auctioneers, but it was joined by the strumming and plucking of musical instruments that were being auctioned off at the first KIKO auction to feature musical instruments and equipment exclusively.

On Saturday, March 18 & 19 the Cleveland I-X Center was filled with the chant of an auctioneer as the KIKO Classic Car Team held their Spring Classic Car & Memorabilia Auction. More than 1,000 bidders, sellers, and curious classic car buffs attended the two auctions that took place in conjunction with the 45th annual Cleveland Auto-Rama.

On Saturday, March 20, 2010 auction crew from KIKO Classic Car Auctions pushed classic vehicles 26 years and older in front of the KIKO auction block at the Cleveland I-X Center during the 44th Annual Cleveland Auto-Rama, as over a 1,000 bidders, sellers, and curious classic car buffs watched in anxious anticipation of the first Classic Car Auction held at the I-X Center.

Robert J. Shearer, Chief Executive Officer for Shearer’s Foods, Inc., was voted to the Board of Directors of Russ Kiko Associates Inc., Canton, OH., a third generation auction company established in 1945 by founder Russ Kiko.

 

Mr. Shearer, like many of his fellow Russ Kiko Associates Board Members, began his career early in life working for the Shearer family business.  While continuing on in the family business Mr. Shearer attended Walsh University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance.

Kiko, auctioneer/realtor, was voted Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russ Kiko Associates Inc., Canton, OH., a third generation business established in 1945 by founder/grandfather Russ Kiko.  George has served the past 6 years as a member of the Board of directors with Russ Kiko Associates. He is the first of the third generation to become Chairman.  George is joining Richard T.
